After researching different tankless water heaters for several weeks, we decided on the Navien NPE-180S2, and it has exceeded our expectations.
Our main goal was to replace an aging storage tank that was becoming unreliable and improve hot water availability for our family. The change was clear from the moment we started using the new system. We now have steady hot water for showers, laundry, and daily household use without the temperature fluctuations we experienced before.
What impressed us most is how efficient and compact this unit is, and how much more quietly the system operates than our old water heater. The 0.96 UEF efficiency rating and condensing technology were important factors for us because we wanted a dependable, more energy-efficient solution.
The build quality feels excellent. Knowing that it uses stainless steel heat exchangers gives us confidence that this was a long-term investment rather than just another replacement. The controls are easy to understand, and the temperature remains consistent even as demand changes.
We have been using it through different seasons in Ontario, and it has handled everything perfectly. This was one of the best decisions we have made.

Replacing our old tank water heater with the Navien NPE-180S2 was a great decision. Our previous unit took up a lot of space and struggled to provide hot water when multiple people needed it at the same time.
This tankless system has been a huge improvement. The hot water supply is consistent, the unit runs quietly, and we no longer have to worry about running out of hot water during busy mornings. The compact design also gave us extra room in our mechanical area.
The efficiency was one of the main reasons we chose this model, and so far it has performed exactly as expected. Very happy with the quality and reliability.
